The warp and weft of an ideaHerzog’s Fitzcarraldo was ambitious to the point of hubris, with a twist of elegance and a challenging spirit. A passion for culture and a touch of folly: what happens if you take opera into the jungle? Fitzcarraldo by Dedar intersects freshness with the slight frisson of slubbed and mottled effects. Soulmate of those fine old books which — bound with fabric covers — used to combine a rough material with a refined spirit. Delicate or strong, but never saturated, shades of colour are reflected on textural linen: when colour encounters white, it creates lightness. Like other textile wallcoverings by Dedar, Fitzcarraldo creates warm and cosy environments. A time-consolidated experience in the art of weaving has reconciled practicality with personality: the atmosphere is that of significantly more complex decorative projects, but in the hands of a qualified professional, the fabric is simple to hang and allows for a reduced number of seams.
