A sequence of quadrangular dots forms a cosmography waiting to be deciphered. On a canvas weave of hand-spun and hand-woven matka silk a constellation sparkles softly: it invites us to undertake a journey through the heavenly realms, as the stars in the sky used to suggest mythical figures and show navigators their route to follow. The silver colour of the screen printing leaves its mark on the ivory ground of Gabor. Soft and drapey, this fabric lends itself to curtain-making.
