Dedar fabrics chosen for the Louis Vuitton Art Deco exhibition in Paris
On the occasion of the centenary of the International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts, Louis Vuitton presents a new exhibition celebrating the House’s role in defining the aesthetic of Art Deco, a movement of the 1920s whose creativity continues to inspire contemporary artists and designers.
Hosted at LV Dream, in the heart of Paris, Louis Vuitton Art Deco retraces the Maison’s history and the contribution of Gaston-Louis Vuitton, the founder’s grandson, in shaping its cultural identity.
Across eight themed rooms, the exhibition reveals over three hundred heritage objects and archival materials, many never shown publicly until now. Together, they illustrate the evolution of the French griffe and its enduring connection with Art Deco, creating a dialogue between memory and modernity.
In this context, Dedar fabrics, chosen for their texture and elegance, adorn curtains and floors, contributing to creating a refined and timeless atmosphere. Lipstick, Sunday, Amoir Libre, Metal, Gildo and Plushy, in their different color shades, interpret the texture and chromatic sophistication of the Art Deco language, enhancing the sensory dimension of the exhibition and celebrating the dialogue between art, design and savoir-faire that animates the world of Louis Vuitton.
