Jamu Jungle is a long pile velvet inspired by silk velvets. Owing to the nature of these precious fibres, the velvet sheen may vary in appearance because of pressure or friction. It is usually possible to restore the original appearance of the fabric by applying a “steam & brush” procedure: steam the surface for 15 seconds from a distance of about 20 cm; gently brush in the opposite direction to the nap; steam once again for 15 seconds from the same distance; gently comb using a soft-bristled brush in the direction of the nap. In some cases, the marks may not disappear completely. This is to be considered an intrinsic characteristic of this velvet, which may take on unique nuances and reflections over time, just like a silk velvet. The beauty of Jamu Jungle can be fully appreciated in decorative residential projects and in uncrowded environments. To preserve its original appearance over time, a regular maintenance with “steam & brush” treatment is recommended.
