The jacquard fabric “Under Way 1963” wins the EDIDA 2026

The Elle Deco International Design Awards (EDIDA), which every year celebrate excellence in international design, have awarded the “Fabrics” category to Under Way 1963, the jacquard fabric paying tribute to the visionary legacy of Anni Albers.

Each year, on the occasion of the Salone del Mobile in Milan, the 25 Editors-in-Chief of the international editions of Elle Decoration designate the winners of the EDIDA across 15 categories, including furniture, lighting, seating and textiles.

In this context, Under Way 1963 has been awarded in the “Fabrics” category, as part of the textile re-edition project developed by Dedar in collaboration with The Josef & Anni Albers Foundation, inspired by some of the most emblematic works of the Bauhaus artist and designer.

The “aimlessly meandering” line, which evokes the charm of hand weaving through its pronounced textural aspect, reflects Dedar’s commitment to bringing Anni Albers’s creations into the present and embracing her invitation to “create and recreate”.
