A brightly coloured maze traverses the surface of a textural jacquard, following an angular and rhythmic course. This abstraction of a labyrinth recalls the geometric iconography of Mesoamerican civilizations, researched, and admired by Albers on her travels. The work preserved at The Josef & Anni Albers Foundation takes on a new formal expression in the double canvas weave, in which the cotton and jute fil-à-fil warp defines and enhances the labyrinthic pattern. Ideal for upholstery, curtains and panels. In collaboration with The Josef & Anni Albers Foundation.
