Designed by Anni Albers, woven by Dedar An apparently regular grid which, when observed close up, reveals a random and syncopated formal arrangement. Extracted from one of Albers's better known pictorial weavings, now preserved in the artist's archives, this design clearly reflects its Modernist matrix. It is an intricate jacquard that takes shape thanks to a complex construction: eight different weft threads, a calibrated combination of weave structures and the use of fil coupé on both the fabric front and back. Chromatic and tactile variations animate the surface, transforming the grid into a dynamic field. Available in a colour that faithfully reflects the original work, it is ideal for decorative projects, curtains and panels. In collaboration with The Josef & Anni Albers Foundation.
